The first vintage of this wine, an appellation Bordeaux Blanc Sec, was produced in 1996. A blend that is characterised by its aromatic expression, with 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Sauvignon Gris and 20% Semillon. The fermentation and ageing both take place in barrels.
The style of the Arums de Lagrange is quite unique: it is an explosion of zesty fruit and citrus notes. Lemon and grapefruit mingle with tropical fruit and white peach aromas. In the palate, the volume and acidity bring a lovely tension to the delicate wine.
Lavish in its purity and freshness, this wine reminds us that certain Médoc terroirs have, for many years, offered the opportunity of making great white Bordeaux.
“The color is pale yellow, very limpid, the smell expresses aromas of white flowers, citrus, grapefruit, hazelnut, with some hints of coffee notes due to the ageing in barrel. The attack is lively, very fresh. the palate is pure , fruity. The citrus fruits aromas prevail, combined with slight roasted coffee aromas. A long finish and long-lasting aromas. A well-balanced wine.”
