DISCOVER THE 2025 VINTAGE

2025 was a highly anticipated vintage. Years ending in “5” have long held a reputation for producing great wines, and this vintage already seems to be living up to the legend.

Marked by a mild winter followed by a warm, dry and luminous summer, 2025 offered the vines ideal conditions, where every element seemed to come together naturally. From the very first weeks of September, our winegrowers sensed they were handling something truly singular. The harvest was among the earliest in our history and was carried out with patience and precision, by hand as always, plot by plot. The berries, the smallest ever recorded on the estate, revealed remarkable concentration.

In the cellars, gentle vinifications and perfectly controlled temperatures preserved the elegance and balance of this powerful vintage. The tannins are silky, faithful to the signature style of Château Lagrange.

2025 is already establishing itself as an exceptional year in Bordeaux. More than a great vintage, it is a signature: the expression of a year in which Château Lagrange achieved a rare balance between power, grace and emotion.

The blends

Chateau Lagrange 2025 is composed of 77% cabernet sauvignon, bringing density, freshness and length, complemented by 18% merlot which softens the attack and enriches the mid-palate. The remaining 5% petit verdot completes the blend beautifully. The nose reveals intense aromas of black cherry, morello cherry and blackberry, lifted by a delicate touch of graphite. The palate is ample and precise, supported by finely sculpted tannins and remarkable length, achieving an elegant balance between freshness and generosity.

Les Fiefs de Lagrange 2025 stands out for its unusually high proportion of merlot (57% merlot, 33% cabernet sauvignon, 10% petit verdot). The lower cabernet sauvignon yields, prioritized for the Grand Vin, naturally reduced its share in the second wine. The result is a more generous and charming Fiefs, immediately approachable and offering delicious pleasure from a young age, while retaining excellent ageing potential.

The first scores released by the international wine press already confirm the potential of this vintage, unanimously praised for its balance and elegance.
